Conversion of Attic Space into a Residence, Jiskrova Street 3, Bratislava

Reconstruction consists of unused attic space conversion into a dwelling house. Premises are located on the 4th and 5th floors.
The reconstruction involves demolition of the original roof structure, concreting of two horizontal reinforced load-bearing concrete slabs, construction of new load-bearing walls and building a new roof with burnt roof covering.

Reconstruction of the Palace Motešických
Period: 03/2009 - 12/2010
Palace Motešických is located in Bratislava, in the Old Town, between Streets Gorkého - Laurinská. Currently we are implementing the reconstruction of the existing housing on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors in the authentic object in the palace.
The original building is a four-walled building in the shape of a closed inner yard. The currently existing building is a four-floor building made of bricks and kiln bricks with enclosure walls of 600-800 mm thick. Interior walls are also made of bricks, the street wings stretching up from the groud floor to the 4th floor . The building has a basement under it. The ceiling is made of putlocks with wooden covers. The ceiling beams are fastened to the bearing wall and the enclouse wall.
5 new luxurious room dwelling units are consiedered to appear on each floor after the complete renovation of all floors, three of them in Gorkého Street, two of them in Laurinska Street. The flats will be large with the ground plan area from 150 m2 to 300 m2. Thus the area one of apartments in downtown Bratislava is above standard. The apartments are accessible using the existing staircase and also by two lifts. So called dayily apartments outlook the streets while night flats outlook the inner yard.
Homes will be connected to the reconstructed distributions of IS kept in the original pipeline route.
The rconstruction is a gradual step by step work in individual dwellings and includes assessment, demolishing of vertical non bearing structures, rendrings, engineering network system distribution, wear layers floor instalation. After implementing the new floors layers, new dividing masonry bulkheads will be bricked up, as well as wiring, and IS constructions will be intalled.
